A recent blog from the Office of the Speaker posted a chart (above) with the number of job losses during the 1990 and 2001 recessions. What is evident is that the numbers far exceed either of the previous recessions and this one looks to continue for quite a while longer.

Sarah Silverman is one of my favourite comedians because she is so cheeky. In this video she pleads with Jewish youths to get their grandparents in Florida to vote for Obama. Florida is a tossup state at the moment.
